Our first house pot with people.
This is the first pot we have made using figures. We have plans to make a number of pots and plaques that include people. If all goes well, some of these pots and plaques will also have a dose of good humour added!
A lovely version of the London Series simply finished with a copper carbonate wash. Note the people standing on the front door steps. 16cm high. Made using Earthstone Extra Smooth clay. Finished with a final firing to earthenware temperature.

A house pot that has created interest.
Since this pot was first exhibited on our website we have received a number enquiries. Some expressing regret that they missed the chance to buy it and others enquiring if we have plans to make more. Indeed we do! |
As we state elsewhere on our website, no two pots ever turn out exactly the same. This is because they are handmade and decorated by hand. However, if you wish to buy a pot like London Series M (similar but not identical) please do let us know. |

This pot had a first firing to 1015 degrees centigrade. Then a mixture of copper carbonate and water was applied by hand with a brush. Then using a combination of sponge and brush some of the copper carbonate was carefully removed until the final result is visually pleasing. At this stage the pot appears copper green until it is finally fired to earthenware temperature. |
Depicting a terraced house that has seen better days.
An excellent example of Ian's work reflecting the artist's fascination with old, derelict and dilapidated buildings. |
Minute detail is a feature of House Pottery
